It’s 2019!
That’s so crazy to think about!
It’s so crazy to see how fast my pregnancy is going as well!
We recently switched hospitals and doctors which was a bit stressful to switch over with the paperwork and worrying about not accepting me since I was so far along; but thankfully everything worked out.
Sadly they had me do my Glucose Test, I was trying to avoid this for as long as I could. I didn’t get to snap a pic of the drink but I got the Lemon Lime, they didn’t let me pick the flavor. It wasn’t so bad, I wouldn’t say it was like a flat Sprite but it tasted like a super sweet non carbonated Sprite. It was pretty good and it made Baby Lo dance like crazy for almost 3 days after.
So after I finished the drink, they took her heartbeat which was good and measured my belly which also came out healthy. Then I waited in the wait room for an hour. I started getting hungry which mixed with Baby Lo’s movements was making me feel a little sick.
The blood draw itself was different, she had me extend my arm out. I had Bubba do it since I hate needles and blood draws and I was afraid I’d drop it. The draw went by quick enough, thankfully.
I was worried because people said they bruised. Bubba assured me that I wouldn’t, I normally don’t either way but I was worried it was a different kind of test/needle.
This was the night of the blood draw. There was a bit of bruising but nothing too bad. Still, this has never really happened to me before. My mom said it’s pretty normal, they probably just didn’t have enough pressure on me. I don’t really remember if they did or not. I just wanted it to be over lol.
Day 2 and 3 got a little worse.
It didn’t hurt unless I poked that bottom dot. Which I did a few times just because I knew it was there. But it wasn’t sore or anything. It just looked really bad.
A week later it’s finally started to fade. The entire experience wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be but still, I’m glad it’s over and done with!
We have one more monthly appt then we start our every two weeks appt. Which means that we’re inching closer and closer to my due date. Which means closer to labor and my day of doom. But I am excited to finally meet her!
And as a bonus, baby bump photo!
She’s definitely getting big!
